janusSEAL for OWA version 2.2.6 and below do not work with Exchange 2007 Service Pack 3 with Rollup Update 5.

This issue is fixed in janusSEAL for OWA 2.2.7.

Processors which manipulate body or attachments fail to work on meeting requests or assigned tasks

Payload processors which manipulate the body or attachment collection of meeting requests (and related) or assigned tasks fail to work correctly and the manipulations will not succeed.

Similarly, predicates which query the attachment collection of meeting requests (and related) or assigned tasks will fail to operate correctly. However, predicates which query the body of such items do work as expected.

CrossDomainNotifier and SenderNotifer fails when sending to recipients of forked message addressed to a Distribution List

The CrossDomainNotifier and SenderNotifier processors are capable of sending messages to various entities. If either of these processors are triggered for a message which was acted upon, or created by, the MessageForker processor then they will fail to send a message.

This issue has been fixed in version 1.0.3 and above.

Plain text messages appended/prepended to cannot be opened in Outlook

In an environment using janusGATE Exchange 1.0.0 or 1.0.1 and where a rule set is such that content is prepended or appended to a plain text message, then when the recipient attempts to open the message using Microsoft Outlook, then Outlook reports

Cannot open this item.

If the recipient uses Outlook Web Access then the message opens without any issue.

The issue has been rectified in version 1.0.2 and above of janusGATE Exchange.

Active Directory group membership predicates incorrectly using SMTP domain of email address for base of search

Predicates supplied with the janusGATE Framework that perform an Active Directory lookup for a user based on an email address may result in LDAP referral errors being reported in the log file and messages being let through without processing.

This issue will occur in environments where the domain name of the Windows domain defined in Active Directory is not the same as one of the SMTP email domains used for user's email addresses in the organisation.

Exchange 2010 SP1 RU4 has been removed from Download Centre by Microsoft due to problems reported with the update - http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2011/07/13/exchange-2010-sp1-ru4-removed-from-download-center.aspx.

Using janusGATE Mobile with an iPad - video

This video demonstrates the use of an iPad with janusGATE Mobile.

The video shows personal and UNCLASS messages synchronised with the iPad. A more sensitive message is replaced with a notificaton message. The user has access to the original message back in the office.

When attachments are delivered to the iPad mail app, the user can use the native applications (such as Numbers for spreadsheets), or a third party application.
